About Hidden Design Festival
Hidden Design Festival reveals the usually private gardens and outdoor spaces behind the gates, walls, passageways and hedges that showcase some of our leading landscape designers. Members of the public are invited to buy a ticket that gives them access to all of the gardens. Most of these gardens have never before been opened to the public and are unlikely to be open again.
In previous years, hidden has been a sell-out success, with nearly 1000 ticket holders for each event enjoying the wide range of gardens on offer.
Hidden Design Festival is organised and managed by the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM). For 20 years, AILDM has raised the profile of landscape design, making it the respected profession it is today. AILDM attracts the best design professionals in the landscape industry, fostering excellence through continuing professional development, networking and mentoring.
Hidden celebrates our talented outdoor designers for the skill of their four-dimensional imaginings, and the beauty they make in our homes and in our city.
Hidden thanks each of the garden owners, whose generous spirit has made this event possible. Sometime in the past few years they brought one of the best outdoor designers to their homes, to create something special. Now they have agreed to share that very private, hidden place with you. That's not an easy thing to do, and it shows their commitment to quality outdoor design - and inspiring others.
Hidden also thanks the landscape designers and architects who have given up their time to cajole owners into opening, and then to prepare these gardens and outdoor areas so they are at their peak for your enjoyment.
And a big thank you to hidden's supporters who have helped us get the word out about our festival.
Hidden is over limited days and tickets are limited.
